Scribes Blog Carnival - May 09 Edition

Monday, May 4th, 2009

blog-carnival.jpg

Welcome to the May 4, 2009 edition of Scribes.

I apologize for how late this is being posted. Without getting into too many details, this is a very busy time for me and my husband, plus May 5th is our wedding anniversary, so we took advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend. Thus, I am here trying desperately to catch up with everything.

Just a note - If you submit your posts after the deadline has passed (and there is a notice on there when the deadline has passed), I will not post it. No exceptions. So, if you go there and see the notice, please be patient and submit your work when submissions are open again.

As always, thank you to everyone who submitted their posts. None of this would work without you. Enjoy.

Announcements

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

reminders.jpgHello everyone!

There are a few things I have been continually forgetting about, and I’m finally getting my head on straight enough to announce them here. If you have any important reminders or announcements, feel free to add them on in the comments.

*I’m getting published. Chicken Soup for the Soul: Campus Chronicles is set to be released in early April and it features the horror story or my first roommate. Please let me know if you check it out.

*Submit your work to the Scribes Blog Carnival. The carnival will be going up on March second, which means you need to get your entries in now if you don’t want to wait until April. Also remember that if you submit after the deadline but before the next carnival is announced, your entry will be lost.

*Fiction Scribe is on the list of Top 100 Writing Blogs! I’m not sure how I accomplished that feat, but I am quite honored and very happy to be included on the list. Do click on the link and check it out. There are plenty of wonderful, helpful sites listed.

*More publishing opportunities. The publishing opportunities hasn’t exactly been on fire, but I have added some interesting listings that have popped up. If you do submit your work, be sure to let me know how it goes.

*Last chance to win at Knitting Passions. This has absolutely nothing to do with writing, but I am a fan of paying it forward. Plus, Barbara is just plain awesome anyway.

That’s it for now. Have a wonderful rest of the week.
