FictionScribe Readers

by JM

notebook-edge.jpg

I would like to put up a bit of a general inquiry post for all the readers of FictionScribe.

This site is now going into its ninth month of existence, and it certainly has changed a bit since the beginning. Change is good, though, because change usually implies growth.

I would like this site to be good for writers of all experience levels, though more focused on the aspiring writer to be honest.

If there is anything you don’t feel is necessary to the site and you’d like to have taken off or if there is anything you’d like to see/see more of, let me know. Keeping in mind I’m only one woman with the same twenty-four hours in a day you have, I’ll see if I can incorporate the ideas you have for this site.

Thank you.

    More free stuff!

And more smart-assed commentors, too. *grin*

Seriously… I like this joint. I like what you’re doing. Keep it up and let its evolution be organic.

  2. Sally Says:

Oh please don’t EVER stop the unconcious mutterings … they get me through work :)

  3. DaveP Says:

I like the site as it is, and there’s a very good and obvious evolution happening.

I love the little games like Unconscious mutterings, and the new writing challenge has the capacity to become huge! :)

  4. JM Says:

Susan - I’ll have to start hunting down free stuff because I know you have the commenting covered. ;)

I’m glad you like the joint. I’m rather fond of it myself.

Sally - Be sure to stop by next week. I have a surprise in the plans for you. ;)

DaveP - Glad you like, bebe. I think the writing challenge is a good idea for people, too.

Have you been getting your twenty minutes done? ;)

  5. Catslyn Says:

    I want dancing elephants. :-D

But seriously, I like your site as is.

Now if you would just come over to my house and stand behind me with a whip to make me finish either of my two nearly finished/will never be finished novels, that would be a big help.

  6. JM Says:

Are you providing the whip? :D

Start doing the writing challenge with us. This week we’re writing for twenty minutes a day, which isn’t too much time. You can post here on my writing challenge updates with your updates and for encouragement from other writers participating.

  7. Richard Says:

Unconscious Mutterings should go from one day a week to five days a week!

No, I’m kidding. But I agree with Sally. I like unconscious mutterings. I also like the writing challenge. I wouldn’t have written today if not for the challenge.

  8. JM Says:

I’m glad there are things you like and things you’re finding useful. :)

  9. Wonder Says:

I can’t believe no-one has mentioned the Pet Peeves, I love them :D
I hope I can join the Writing Challenge soon, it seems like a really good idea but I’m so busy these days :S.
    W.

  10. JM Says:

Too busy for twenty minutes? :) The challenge changes next week, so we’ll see if that one suits you better.

I’m glad you like the Pet Peeves and that you mentioned them.

  11. Neel Says:

You could add more fiction writing opportunities….that would be great!

  12. JM Says:

Neel - I’m definitely going to be doing more of that. :)

  13. Wonder Says:

Lol, I knew you’d say that about the 20 mins! :P The thing is I have to pick my guy up at the airport tomorrow (remember he’s coming over to live with me? ^^) so I’ve been busy, nervous and excited, but I hope I can join soon ;)
Btw, my awesome “Fiction Scribe” prize arrived today! Thanks so much, JM :D
    W.

  14. JM Says:

The 20 minutes don’t have to be consecutive. :) I understand though. You couldn’t have asked me to write anything when I first met Mr. Scribe.

I’m glad it arrived. :) Enjoy.
