Kathleen Willey’s Target: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hilary Clinton

by JM

target.jpgHello everyone and happy Friday.

This week for author interviews, we’re joined by Kathleen Willey, the author of the very powerful book Target: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton. This book talks about Ms. Willey’s time in the service of the former US President and what her live has been like since that traumatic time.

Hello and thank you for stopping at Fiction Scribe, Ms. Willey. Tell the readers a bit about yourself.

I am presently a real estate agent in the state of Virginia. I was a soccer Mom, wife and volunteer. My children are grown and living outside of Virginia

What brought you into the world of writing? When did you start?

I was involved in the Paula Jones and Monica Lewinsky scandals and after many years of being thrust into the national limelight, I decided to tell my story.

You’re currently on virtual tour for your nonfiction novel Target: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton. Could you tell us a bit about the book?

The book is about my involvement and experiences during that time.

You have been through quite hard times because of this book, including threats. Could you share some of what you’ve been through?

I was threatened and intimidated by strangers. My children were threatened, my car was broken into, pets disappeared. I was followed.

How did you as a person come to grips with being assaulted by the President of the United States of all people?

It was not easy and I told myself that it had nothing to do with me. He is the predator, the sex addict.

What gave you the courage to write this book? Did you fear worse responses? Do you still fear responses?

This story needed to be told now that we are facing the very real possibility that the Clintons could retake the White House. I think that writing my story insured my safety, but I am still very vigilant.

Are you working on anything now?

Not at the moment

What are your dreams for your writing?

I would like to write another book.

When you’re not writing novels, what do you do? How did you find time to write?

I am a gourmet cook and I like to knit. I also am an animal lover, with two dogs and four cats.

Do you have any advice for writers?

Never lose hope.

Do you have any advice for victims of crimes committed by influential people?

Tell your story.

Thank you very much for your time.

    Hi Kathleen,
I’m sorry that you had to go through such a tramatic experience. I was also sexually assaulted; it is something that doesn’t really go away; you just learn from it and move on so that you can heal. I have a question. How do you feel about Hillary running for office? Last night, she came in third. How do you feel about her and her message and plans for the country?
