Twenty-Minute Challenge
Day one.
So how did you do with your twenty minutes (or more) of writing? I admit, I put it off most of the day instead of just sitting down in the morning and doing it. I ended up getting up a nice chunk of writing done as well as a few notes down for future scenes.
I wasn’t expecting much on the first day of this challenge. It will be interesting a few days down when I’ve made more of a habit of writing at least twenty minutes every day.
If you’re participating in this challenge, comment and let me know how it went, what you’re working on, and anything else about this you’d like to talk about.

I got you to choose the project I’d work on this week Jaime, and I too kept putting it off.
If it hadn’t been for this challenge though, I wouldn’t have written anything today, as it was I got my twenty minutes done, and the story is starting to take shape.

I’m glad it helped you out.
It certainly helped me out. I’ll be interested to find out what you’re working on.

I got about 45 minutes of writing done today, which turned out to be around 25 words or so. Haven’t got many long sessions in in the last few weeks since I started working. But I find that since I started my job, I’ve been writing more consistently (but for much shorter time periods) It’s like after working eight hours all I want to do is get home, take a nap and then start writing. But just started the night shift today, which is pretty nice if not for the fact that I’m a terrible driver and have poor eyesight. So I’m trying to figure out a good time to write. I’m not much of a morning writer.
As for what I’m writing about. Well, that’s top secret for now.

I’m more of a night writer as well. Also, working can have a good influence on your writing sometimes. I’ve found more time to write doesn’t always mean more writing.

Haha, yeah, more time for me leads to more procrastination it seems. Or rather this state of paralysis where I want to do fifty things but can’t decide which to do, and if I do settle on something, the other 49 choices end up haunting me.

Whoa, I wasn’t going to join this, but I spent way more than 20 minutes last night working on some edits. While it’s not new writing, it felt good and it ought to count.

Richard - I absolutely agree. I have a lot more time to write of late, and wouldn’t you believe I have so much “other stuff” to do…
Susan - Good to see you. As long as you work on the same project all week, then it definitely counts. Editing is important! Well done!
